Sarah Hall has been commissioned to write poems, essays and short stories for a variety of institutions, media outlets and journals, including the Royal Philharmonic Society, Pulp.Net, To Hell With Publishing, and The Erotic Review. She has written radio pieces for The Verb and the BBC's Free Thinking Festival, and has reviewed films and books for various arts programs.

In April 2010 a 90 minute adaptation of her novel The Carhullan Army, co-written by Sarah Hall and Dominic Power, first aired on BBC Radio 3.
